About the High Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development (HLPF)

44 countries will be presenting the actions they are taking to advance the Sustainable Development Goals at this year’s High-Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development on 6 to 15 July. The Forum — a mix of virtual and in person meetings — will be critical to underscoring the SDGs as the only pathway to COVID-19 recovery and building a healthier, more inclusive and more sustainable future. 

The theme this year is "Sustainable and resilient recovery from the COVID-19pandemic that promotes the economic, social and environmental dimensions of sustainable development: building an inclusive and effective path for the achievement of the 2030 Agenda in the context of the decade of action and delivery for sustainable development" and 9 Goals will be in focus: Goals 1,2,3,8,10,12,13,16,17.   

Launch of the 2020 Sustainable Development Goals Report (July 6)  

This year’s Sustainable Development Goals report will be launched on July 6, the opening day of the High-Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development at a press briefing on UN WebTV. Key findings of the report may be found here. 

The SDG Media Zone

The SDG Media Zone at this year's HLPF will feature media-led conversations on socio-economic recovery and SDG Action from around the world.
